Dear Fellow APDA Member,
You are invited to attend a special meeting of Australasian Power System Operators and (North) American Power Dispatchers being held in Wellington New Zealand the week of 5 to 9 March 2012. The meeting is being hosted by the Transpower New Zealand System Operator and is also being sponsored by APDA National. March is summer in New Zealand, leave winter behind and join us here. Enjoy Southern Hemisphere hospitality. Take this chance to mix, mingle, network and learn with operators from New Zealand and Australia. Twelve CEH hours of training will be offered. A draft meeting agenda and a short questionnaire are attached to this invitation. Look for our newsletters over the next year or so to keep you up to date with plans for this meeting. Soon we will also be posting meeting information on the Transpower System Operator website http://www.systemoperator.co.nz/. Along with meeting specific information we will post links to sites that you can use to learn a bit more about us before you come. Start planning now, 2012 will be here before you know it. If you have any questions or would like to register your interest pleases complete the questionnaire on the next page and e-mail it to either myself or John Bartley at the addresses provided.
