Meeting Process
The meeting will be conducted under standard business practices
and procedures. Business casual attire is acceptable.
NWPP / APDA Members -- Attendance Guidelines
If your Company/Agency plans to attend the meeting please
complete and promptly submit the attached Meeting Registration
Form. In order to accelerate registration check-in on the first
day of the meeting, there will be a pre-registration closing date
of May 3, 2004. The Meeting Registration Forms may be faxed to
(775) 834-3940 or e-mailed to njudd@sppc.com.
Hotel Arrangements
A special room rate has been negotiated at the Reno Hilton
for the nights of May 18 & 19, 2004 for those identifying
with either the APDA or NWPP. The standard room
rate is $54 plus tax for single/double occupancy. An additional
per person charge of $10.00 will apply beyond two hotel guest
per room. Reservations may be made by dialing (800) 648-5080 or
(775) 789-2031 by April 19, 2004 to assure availability and rate.
Rate and availability cannot be guaranteed after this date.
Please note: The Room Reservation Cutoff Date April 19, 2004.
Ground Transportation
The Reno Hilton Hotel is only 10 minutes away from the airport
and provides complimentary shuttle transportation. The shuttle
transportation runs every half hour on the quarter of the hour.
Also, cabs are available for the fare of approximately $7 each
way.
APDA Hospitality Suite, Late Registration, and Check-In
Time
The APDA will have a hospitality suite open to those who will
be arriving on the evening of May 18th. Please refer to the hotel
registration desk for the appropriate suite. Late registration
can be accommodated at this time. However, the NWPP & APDA
strongly encourage you to pre-register before or by the date of
May 3, 2004.
In addition, late registration and Check-In for the meeting will begin at 11:30 a.m. on May 19, 2004. All attendees, please be sure to check in between 11:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. in order to allow the meeting to start promptly at 1:00 p.m. Name tags and meeting material will be provided during check-in.
NWPP Evening Social
On the evening of May 19th the NWPP will be hosting a social,
so please join us from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for hors d'oeuvres,
with a no host bar.
Sierra Pacific Power Control Center Tour
On the afternoon of May 20, 2004 a tour of Sierra Pacific's
Control Center will be provided. The tour group will need to meet
in the south entrance of the hotel lobby by 1:15 p.m. A shuttle
has been arranged for and will pick up the tour group by 1:30
p.m., returning back to the hotel by 2:30 p.m.
APDA Banquet & Golf Tournament -- Attendance Guidelines
An APDA Banquet Dinner is being held on the evening of May
20th and an APDA Golf Tournament on the day of May 21st for APDA
members and their prospective guests. The following fees will
apply to those whom choose to participate in these events:
$55/Member APDA Registration & Dinner
$45/Guest APDA Dinner
$45/Member or Guest APDA Golf Tournament
If you plan to attend Dinner and/or the Golf Tournament it is necessary that you complete and submit the Meeting Registration Form. Please fax or email the Meeting Registration Form, and then mail a copy of the registration form with a check(s) payable to APDA Spring 2004 no later than May 3, 2004.
The APDA Banquet Dinner will be held at the Reno Hilton on the evening of May 20th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Please refer to the hotel registration desk for the appropriate location.
The APDA Golf Tournament will be held at the Dayton Valley Golf Course with a shot-gun start at 10:00 a.m. A shuttle has been arranged to transport those whom wish to participate in this event. Players will need to meet in the South entrance of the lobby no later than 7:30 a.m. Please plan to be on time or arrange for your own transportation to the Golf Course.
